Full Terms and Conditions

  1. This promotion is only open to legal residents of Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter, Good Energy, their families, agents or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion
  2. Promotion Period: Purchase between 00.01 GMT on 17 February 2017 and 23.59 BST on 07 July 2017. During the Promotion Period, there will be 5 monthly periods (each known as a “Monthly Period”) as set out in the table below
  3. Monthly Period Opening & Closing Date & Time
    1 00.01 on 17th Febuary - 23:59 on 16th March 2017
    2 00.01 on 17th March - 23:59 on 13th April 2017
    3 00.01 on 14th April - 23:59 on 11th May 2017
    4 00.01 on 12th May - 23:59 on 8th June 2017
    4 00.01 on 9th June - 23:59 on 7th July 2017

    Entrants must claim their entry by 23.59 on 9th July 2017 (“Claim Period”). The date of the receipt has to be within the Promotion Period.

  4. Purchase is necessary and internet access is required. Please retain your till receipt and sticker (or take a picture of the sticker clearly showing your unique code on) as this will be needed to validate winners’ claims.
  5. To enter the promotion, you must:
    1. Purchase a promotional pack of Wyke Farms Cheese (Mature, Extra Mature or Vintage) from participating supermarkets stocking Wyke Farms Cheddar during the Promotion Period. Please see clause 5 for a list of participating supermarkets.
    2. Then, visit www.wykefarms.com/goodenergy by the Claim Period and submit your 10-digit unique code found on the inside of the competition pack roundel plus your details to be entered into that month’s prize draw and the grand prize draw.
  6. Participating Supermarkets: Waitrose, Asda, Ocado, Iceland, Sainsburys, Tesco, Lidl, Home Bargains, Londis and Budgens
  7. All entries must be received by the end of the Claim Period. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, illegible, incomplete, corrupted or not received by the end of the Claim Period for any reason. Proof of entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by the Promoter.
  8. Multiple entries are permitted, providing each entry is accompanied by a different unique code. Each unique code can only be entered once.
  9. The Prizes:
    1. Each month, there will be 4 x Tier 1 winner (20 winners’ in total) and 10 Tier 2 winners’ (50 winners’ in total):
      1. Tier 1: Four winners will each win 1 x 12 months’ supply of Good Energy electricity (up to the value of £550).
      2. Tier 2: Ten winners will each win 1 x Somerset produce hampers (50 in total) containing:
        • 1 x Cotton Shopper Bag
        • 1 x Wooden Cheeseboard
        • 1 x Cheese Knife
        • 1 x Jar of chutney
        • 1 x Box of Crackers
        • 1 x A Wyke Farms Udder mug
        • 3 x Wyke Farms Cheddar - Mature, Extra Mature & Vintage
    2. Grand prize draw - one winner will win 1 x lifetime supply (40 years) of Good Energy electricity (equivalent to £22,000). Additionally, the winner and a guest will be invited to visit Wyke Farms, Somerset for the day for a tour of the farm. Reasonable travel and accommodation costs up to the value of £300 will be provided. The date for the tour will be decided at winner acceptance stage.
  10. Winners of the Tier 1 prize are not eligible to be entered into the grand prize draw.

  11. Further Good Energy Prize Details and Conditions:
    1. The prizes are provided by Good Energy Limited, Monkton Reach, Monkton Hill, Chippenham, Wiltshire SN15 1EE, United Kingdom;
    2. The lifetime supply of green electricity (equivalent to £22,000) is limited to the value of £550 per year;
    3. Prizes are for domestic and microbusiness use only;
    4. Winning households must have a single rate credit meter or an Economy 7; meter. The prize is also only valid for customers with electric meter profiles 1-4;
    5. Winners must choose a start date within 12 months of winner confirmation. If the winners decide to cancel their contract with Good Energy at any point during their contract with all, or any part of, the prize credit remaining on their account, Good Energy reserves the right to cancel the remaining credit;
    6. The prize will not be honoured if Good Energy is unable to provide a supply of mains electricity to the winner’s property or business;
    7. No exit fees from existing supply contracts will be covered and is the responsibility of the winner;
    8. Households with pre-payment meters are not eligible to win Tier 1 or the grand prize draw prize;
    9. Only customers residing in Great Britain on the national grid are eligible for Tier 1 and the grand prize; and
    10. £550 of energy per year is based on electricity prices in 2016 and subject to an inflationary increase to be determined at Good Energy’s sole discretion.
  12. Winners of the grand prize and Tier 1 prizes can transfer their supply of electricity to another household should they move, however Good Energy will not cover the costs should there be any interruption or costs arising from the existing supplier at the property of electricity in order to switch.
  13. The prizes are non-transferable between individuals, are not exchangeable and have no cash or other alternative in whole or in part.
  14. In the event of unforeseen circumstances the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for an alternative of equal or greater value.
  15. Please allow up to 28 days for delivery of Tier 2 prizes from the date of prize acceptance. The grand prize winner and winners’ of Tier 1 are required to contact Good Energy within 28 days of prize acceptance to organise their prize.
  16. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for any third party products or services.
  17. Winner Selection:
    1. Monthly: All valid entries received by the Promoter during each Monthly Period (or by the Claim Period) will be entered into the relevant monthly prize draw to be conducted within 3 working days of the end of each Monthly Period by PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service.
    2. Grand Prize: All valid entries received by the Promoter by the Claim Period will be entered into the relevant monthly prize draw to be conducted within 5 working days of the end of each Monthly Period by PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service
  18. Winner Notification
    1. Grand prize and Tier 1: Winners will be contacted via phone and email address provided upon entry within 5 working days of the relevant draw and will be required to respond to confirm eligibility plus acceptance of the prize within 7 days of initial contact. In the event a winner does not respond to communications within 7 days of initial contact, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that winner and the prize will be allocated to an alternate entrant selected in the same manner.
    2. Tier 2: Winners will be contacted via the email address provided upon entry within 5 working days of the relevant draw and will be required to respond to confirm eligibility plus acceptance of the prize within 7 days of initial contact. In the event a winner does not respond to communications within 7 days of initial contact, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that winner and the prize will be allocated to an alternate entrant selected in the same manner.
  19. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. The Promoter may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a prize may be withheld unless and until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification.
  20. All entries must be made by the entrant themselves. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. Incomplete or illegible entries, entries by macros or other automated means (including systems which can be programmed to enter), and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these terms and conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted. If it becomes apparent that an entrant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase that entrant’s entries into the promotion in a way that is not consistent with the spirit of the promotion, that entrant’s entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.
  21. No responsibility is accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed or as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

  23. The Promoter cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss or injury suffered by any entrant entering the promotion or as a result of accepting any prize. Nothing shall exclude the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
  24. If for any reason the promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
  25. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.
  26. The winners will be required to participate in any reasonable publicity arising from the promotion which may include the publication of their name and photograph on the Wyke Farms and Good Energy websites and any other media or social media platforms.
  27. The name and counties of the winners will be available by emailing info@wykefarms.com from 1st August 2017 for 4 weeks.
  28. By entering this promotion, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions.
  29. The Promoter’s decision is binding in all matters relating to this promotion, and no correspondence shall be entered into.
  30. In the event of a discrepancy between these Terms and Conditions and the details in any promotional material, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
  31. The Terms and Conditions of this promotion shall be interpreted and applied on the basis of English Law and the Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
