Here at Wyke Farms we think we are incredibly lucky to be able to live, work and play in Somerset. And we like to think that most local people feel the same. That’s why we are proudly partnering with Passion for Somerset, and other local brands such as Thatchers Cider, Miles Tea & Coffee and Pardoes Solicitors to support the growth of Somerset Day; an annual celebration of Somerset as a place to live, work and play. Passion for Somerset’s work centres around ‘Somerset Day’ held on May 11th every year, in honour of King Alfred the Great’s routing of the Vikings from his stronghold in the Somerset marshes in May 878.

On Tuesday 7^th February, we hosted a Summit for Somerset at our Sustainable Energy Visitor Centre. Nearly 100 leading local Somerset businessmen and women attended, with speakers including Glastonbury Festival Founder Michael Eavis CBE – a great advocate for the County and a reminder that Somerset, a place that all our guests call home, attracts visitors from all over the globe on an annual basis – 25 million to be exact!
