Wyke es uno de los productores de alimentos más sostenibles de Europa, y prestamos una gran atención al equilibrio de carbono, la energía verde y el reciclaje de agua. Elaboramos nuestro cheddar y nuestra mantequilla con energía generada a partir de biogás procedente de nuestra propia planta de digestión anaeróbica y de energía solar. Además, nos esforzamos por conservar los hábitats y las especies, y fomentamos activamente la vida silvestre en el Valle de Brue.
Este compromiso garantiza que, además de tener un sabor delicioso, nuestro cheddar también respete y conserve el medioambiente del que todos dependemos. Como decimos en nuestra familia, «cuida de la naturaleza y ella cuidará de ti».
En nuestra granja de Wyke Champflower, en el condado de Somerset, capital quesera de Inglaterra, llevamos más de 160 años elaborando nuestro queso cheddar y nuestra mantequilla artesanal según el método tradicional.
