Award Wins for Cheese in 2023
Cheese Shows and Awards.
As we kick off the cheese show season, we look back at the accolades collected in 2023. We are proud to be making cheddar that has won more taste awards than any other. Over 160 years of family cheese making expertise goes into every single maturing box and each year we offer our cheese to experienced judges to make sure we are still getting it right.
In 2023, we were awarded great results from a variety of award shows. These include the Virtual Cheese Awards, Devon County Show, International Cheese and Dairy Awards, Mid Somerset Show, Global Cheese Awards and World Cheese Awards. We are delighted to have achieved each and every result for our cheese entries and in this blog, we will be proudly showcasing our top results.
Virtual Cheese Awards
- Awarded three gold awards: Mature cheddar, Ivy’s Reserve Vintage cheddar and Red Leicester Cheddar.
Devon County Show
- Awarded two 1st place awards: Extra Mature cheddar and our Salted Butter.
International Cheese and Dairy Awards
- Awarded gold: Red Leicester cheddar.
Mid Somerset Show
- Awarded five 1st place awards and two champion awards.
- 1st place awards included: Extra Mature cheddar, Mature cheddar (X2), Salted Butter and Red Leicester cheese.
- Champion award titles included: Reserve Supreme Champion and South-West Reserve Champion.
The Global Cheese Awards
- Awarded gold: Mature cheddar.
World Cheese Awards
- Awarded bronze: Ivy’s Reserve Vintage cheddar.
A huge thank you to all the shows we entered, we appreciate all the love and hard work they put in to running their events each year. Thank you to our team who produce fantastic cheese, then grade and select the best examples for preparing and then staging at each show.
