For the last ten years, we have been gladly supporting the West Country Dairy Awards. Set up in the 1930’s, the funding programme behind the awards, which we contribute to, distributes £15,000 annually to students residing in the South West of England, granting them the opportunity to further their careers in the dairy industry.

Applicants are typically sons and daughters of dairy farmers or farm employees looking to learn more about an industry which they are truly passionate about and as a family-run business we are extremely keen to support such desire.

This year Georgina Roberts from Cornwall, was awarded the scholarship award by a panel of judges including our Farm Liaison Officer, Joanne Organ. One of five finalists from Devon, Somerset, Dorset and Cornwall; the panel were impressed by Georgia’s rounded appreciation of consumer expectation, environmental awareness and economic pressures of production.   Georgina will use her award to fund the final year of her Agriculture Business Management course at Duchy College – and we wish her all the best as she continues her studies!
