The Virtual Cheese Award results were announced 15th May and we were delighted with the haul of awards our cheeses received!! We are proud to be making cheddar that has won more taste awards than any other. Over 160 years of family cheese making expertise goes into every single maturing box and each year we offer our cheese to experienced judges to make sure we are still getting it right. Here are our results:
Wyke Farms Extra Mature Cheddar
A Gold winner! Our Extra Mature Cheddar is a true crowd-pleaser. Its robust flavour profile, developed over 12 months of maturation, makes it a staple in kitchens across the world. Whether grated over pasta or savoured on its own, this cheese never disappoints.
Ivy’s Reserve Vintage Cheddar
Named after our Grandmother Ivy, Ivy’s Reserve Vintage Cheddar has secured a well-deserved Gold award. This cheese embodies tradition, with its smooth texture, complex notes, and a hint of caramel sweetness. Ivy would be proud!
Worthy Farm Reserve Cheddar
Our Worthy Farm Reserve Cheddar has clinched the top spot with a Gold award. Aged to perfection, this cheddar boasts rich flavours, a creamy texture, and a delightful nutty finish. It’s the perfect companion for wine and charcuterie boards.
Wyke Farms Red Leicester
Completing our quartet of champions, our Red Leicester has also claimed a Gold award. Its vibrant orange hue, nutty undertones, and creamy texture make it a standout choice for cheese enthusiasts. Whether melted into a gooey toastie or paired with a crisp apple, it’s a winner every time.
